On June 9, 2010, which would have been Les Paul’s 95th birthday, Jeff Beck and a host of special guests paid homage to the musical icon at the very club where he performed every Monday night. Rockabilly songstress Imelda May and her band, led by Darrel Higham, as well as Gary US Bonds, Brian Setzer and Trombone Shorty, join Beck on many of the tracks.
Our second chapter moves away from the band, the reunion and future albums (New album due out on Frontiers records in May 2016!) and begins to look at the more personal factors that impact Dan, his friends, his family and his country. More importantly, he is passionate about the world and its ongoing survival. The intro to “Answer To No One” has me thinking a young Ozzy meets Layne Staley riding on a horse back down in the old West with a license to kill, a cool vibe takes this song and precariously makes it a winner, mad love to the sparkling guitar lead on here also top notch.
