Amanda Somerville. She has shown through various outlets that she can hold court vocally within a multitude of subgenres, and stand toe to toe with any man who dares. Her latest project, Trillium, is clearly a more melodic metal vehicle for her stunning talent, and it works perfectly.
ohh but it gets better Dio manages to incorporate some bits from “The Temple of the King” into one hell of a performance. I don’t care how many times I hear “Heaven and Hell”, it gives it goosebumps every time I hear Ronnie raise his bear crushing voice into the sky.
With this exceptional album, guitarist Joe Bonamassa kills two birds with one stone. On the one hand, he manages to convey the musical feeling of these British blues greats exactly, on the other hand, it is a typical Bonamassa record.
