It’s like you start creating this small universe of your own with the songs being the stars and the galaxies within it, and that of course develops and expands so it can, from day to day, and we don’t even really have a clear thought of what type of album we’re making.
My idea of what’s good may not jive with what someone else might think is good. I’m OK with that. I don’t do reviews necessarily to persuade someone to enjoy the same things I do (or hate the same things I hate. I’m quirky like that.) I write them to inform the listener whether I personally think an album is worth checking out or not.
