Airbourne live at The Garage, London on August 28th, 2014

‘Runnin’ Wild’ draws everything to a close a great set from an excellent live band. Comparisons are often drawn between them and AC\DC but it’s obvious to most people that AC\DC can’t go on for many more years and Airbourne are well within their rights to pick up the torch and carry the flame for years to come on the strength of performances like this one.

Train, LIVE at the 100 Club, London UK, August 14 2014

One of the best things about the festival season is the opportunity to see some of the bands scheduled to appear playing intimate club dates as a warm up before the main event. Tonight is no exception and the 350 capacity 100 Club on London’s busy Oxford street has been sold out for weeks in anticipation of San Franciscan Pop Rock stars Train playing in our fair capital city.

The Monolith Deathcult live at Gamli Gaukurinn, Reykjavík on July 15th, 2014

The dark and cloudy stage lighting is contrasted by the midnight daylight streaming through a window close to the stage; something our body clocks are still getting used to. The sound in the venue is loud and clear, and although we were not previously familiar with their music, it is difficult not to enjoy their striking showmanship and dramatic delivery. An imposing and impressive performance, especially considering it was their second of the day, and The Monolith Deathcult have made a lasting first impression on this reviewer.
