Basically what this entailed was totally unleashed, balls to the wall musical extravagance at its finest.
Dario Mollo has been making beautiful noise since 1981 when he started his first band Crossbones.
Speaking of Firehouse, as I have mentioned this was probably my 7-8 time seeing them live. Clearly I’m not only a fan, but a committed fan. I keep seeing them live because they never fail to put on an awesome show. Allen, Bill, CJ, and Michael are all four exceptional musicians and give 100% to their fans no matter what is going on in their personal lives. That is one of the things that I respect the most from them
If you are familiar with the band then you already know the amazing pipe’s on this man. His range is astounding and his abilities rank up there with the likes of Tony Harnell and James Labrie. No exaggeration, but Sonny is one of the most incredible singers I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing live..
Much like my last rehearsal I noticed how they would spend what to some may seem an inordinate amount of time deciding if this drum lick should be 8ths or 16ths, or should this guitar solo extend over the chorus two times or four times. The meticulous work they put into each minute section of a song perfecting it is truly what sets them apart from other bands. I’m sure other groups use this same philosophy; however I’d say that it’s more of a rarity than a common practice.
