If you’ve made it to the end of the weekend…. pause for a moment to pay respect to fallen comrades, those who have been overcome by the mixture of heat and the demon drink.
In 1999 Fozzy was started by Chris Jericho (lead vocalist) and Rich Ward (guitars and backing vocals). Named after Ozzy Osbourne, Fozzy Osbourne, the band started out as a cover band and usually comprising of whatever musicians Ward could find at any time.
After appearing in the Academy on their last visit to Dublin in late 2012, it was surprising to see the intimate Fibber Magees announced as the venue for tonight’s performance by Fozzy. A heaving crowd have congregated and crammed into compact coves and corridors to catch the American heavy metal group fronted by part-time rocker, part-time wrestler, Chris Jericho.

Saxon is currently touring North American with Chris Jericho’s Fozzy for 22 shows from September 12th- October 10th to support their latest CD release – Sacrifice. A hard-hitting anthemic metal CD that captures the true essence of the band, sounding more like a Saxon CD from the 80’s.
