“The Ballads V” is closer to a new ARP album than being a simple compilation of known stuff. I like the album that still includes enough rock feel for having a good time.
There’s no new ground here because Hardline still sounds like the same band that released their debut back in 1992.
Melodic hard rock vocalist Johnny Gioeli is set to record his first career solo album, with the international release due this summer. In support of album production, Johnny has launched a Pledge Music campaign with at least 10% of the proceeds going directly to a children’s charity.
Individually they are accomplished musicians and Johnny is the consummate rock front man looking as happy to see us as we are to see the band. He works every inch of the stage and keeps everyone there enthralled.
Much like Pretty Maids, you know when you’re popping in a Hardline CD, you’re going to be thoroughly entertained and hear some of the best music out there.
Needless to say he has held on to that torch with immense and convincing quest to please his fans. In his long career he has sold over 1.5 million records worldwide, and is still good to have people like these who stick to something they believe in, even throughout the turbulent music business and digital era we live in now.
