The enigmatic, dark and occult sounds of Swedish Metallers Ghost BC opened it’s opus at the Music Hall of Williamsburg this past Sunday the 28th in NYC. Alongside they brought opening act Skeletonwitch hailing from Ohio. Ghost has been classified this year as one of the must see acts in Metal as they’re onstage performance is both eclectic and entertaining. Their main man and vocalist Papa Emeritus II brought along it’s six loyal ghouls and with it’s motionless full make up attire, spread their black metal spew for their loyal fans. Another sold out gig for Ghost and Co as they cast an evil spell over the Hall of Williamsburg. See some of photos from this eponymous gig below…

Hailing from Linköping, Sweden, Ghost B.C. formed in in 2008. They released their heralded debut album,Opus Eponymous, on October 18, 2011. UK’s Metal Hammer praised the album saying it was “an arcane occult feast,” while this side of the pond Decibel Magazine hailed they “compel on pretty much every sensory level,” and the Village Voice proclaimed “Ghost is Swedish, heavy, and tasked with slicing your soul to bits–or at least your ears.” In 2011, Ghost B.C. performed at the annual Download Festival in the United Kingdom. The band’s fanbase began to swell and not long after added some of Hard Rock’s finest to this group. Additionally that year, Ghost B.C. took part in the Defenders of Faith III tour with Trivium, In Flames and Rise to Remain. In early 2012, they embarked on their first tour of the United States and later that year shared the stage with Mastodon and Opeth on their Heritage Hunter Tour in North America. That summer the band was invited by Metallica’s James Hetfield to perform on the mainstage of Metallica’s first annual Orion Music + More festival. Ghost will appear at the 2013 Soundwave Festival throughout Australia February 23rd – March 4th, Coachella on April 14th and 23rd, and will visit cities across the U.S. as part of the Haze Over North America 2013 Tour.
