The 6th stop of the No Salvation tour made it’s way to NYC the past October 6th. Deicide is touring in support of their highly awaited album “The Minds of Evil”. So far the tittle track has received great reviews online. Apart from Deicide, the co-headlining band, Broken Hope, is now also part of the Century Media roster and it’s supporting their release of “Omen Disease”. This would tour also feature Disgorge, who is soon due to work a new album, as well as local band Day of Doom and Necronomicon’s first US tour.

Necronomicon delivered a short, yet crushing set to the NYC crowd. It seems even they were surprised at the following they have in NYC. They set off the brutal moshing that night, and crazy head banging from the fans.

Disgorge gave a skull crushing set as well. Not only did the pits become more brutal but the intense guttural singing seemed to fuel the fan’s rage even more.

Disgorge

Broken Hope were up next, the brutality of the night was only getting stronger. Now only did they startled the crowd, but the moshpits only seemed to become more violent.

Broken Hope

Deicide’s set started with a somewhat apologetic mention of the “karaoke” incident 2 years ago @ Gramercy Theater as well. One that did not leave many NYC fans happy, yet, this was soon a thing of the past and the second Deicide began playing, the brutality was at it’s peak. Again like in many of these Death metal shows (we photographers had to be removed from the photo pit as) the crowd suffers rained on the security personnel. The crowd went insane, moshing song after song, particularly because Deicide’s setlist had some of their best work ’til date. Right before  the chaos ended there was a subtle warning from Glen Benton , hinting at them no longer performing a lot of their old material as the “new album is that good”. We shall see from there, as he also hinted at another tour later next year.
