With thundering razor sharp licks, the giant that has turned into of the hardest hitting extreme metal bands NILE, hit the Stage 48 at NYC on April 20th and unleashed hell fire upon the faithful crowd. Bringing their blend of Egyptian mysticism, haunting and vociferous technical scarring, the guys at NILE have been building a solid reputation for years now. If you enjoy thought provoking well written music, mixed with a dose of power and aggression, you need to check these guys out. Any follower of the genre would agree.
The South Carolina kings of Death Metal released their latest album ‘At the Gate of Sethu’ in July of 2012. Their seventh studio album was their highest charting to-date, landing at No. 131 on the Billboard 200 during its debut week.
This night would also prove to be another legendary night for these seasoned veterans of the scene. The lighting, the mood and the impact of their songs, shook the place alive in NY. Playing a mix of old school catalog songs alongside a slew of material from their last record, “At the Gate of Sethu”, every fan left the night with a few bruises and a touch of enlightenment.
