It was that time of year again! Summer days are never complete until the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival rolls into a town near you. Held at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ, this tour did not disappoint and was packed with bands for all tastes of metal genres.

Rockstar Energy had their very own canopy and handed out beverages for free for those that were running low on adrenaline. Tents for Revolver Magazine, Sumerian Records, and Coldcock Whiskey had signings and merch from featured bands. This venue is always easy for fans of all ages and expertise to navigate through. With 3 smaller stages from Victory Records, Sumerian, and Coldcock Whiskey, fans are able to run back and forth to their favorite bands without missing out on the fun. Veil of Maya and Upon A Burning Body killed it with their set while Texas Hippie showed the Northeast how the South rocks out. Mushroomhead entertained the crowds by throwing beach balls and inflatable whales into the pit while It was Body Count that was a treat for fans of all ages to experience. There was the new classic Talk Shit, Get Shot as well as the older classics like Body Count and Cop Killer. It was for Cop Killer that frontman Ice-T was joined by a 16-year old girl to sing on stage with him, amping the crowd up even more.

Although the rain made itself present for the performances of some of the bands, it didn’t deter concertgoers from enjoying the fest. Plenty sought shelter but came out in full force for the bands performing on the main stage. Korn brought on plenty of memories when they opened with Falling Away From Me and kept it going with their classics Got The LifeShoots and Ladder, and of course Freak On A Leash. The closers of the night were Avenged Sevenfold, who opened their set with Shepherd Of Fire from their newest album Hail To The King. They played countless fan favorites into the night, ending with Unholy Confessions, concluding yet another successful Mayhem Fest!
