Static Is Huntress’s 3rd Release, and fans of the band will no doubt already know what to expect, sizzling solos, heavy riffs and occult infested lyrics, well with this release, Vocalist Jill Janus (who penned all the tracks) claims ”It is the heaviest and catchiest record we’ve written” bold words.

Static was produced by Grammy nominated engineer, Paul Fig (Alice in Chains, Deftones,Trivium ) and Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, Executive Producer Sonic Highways series, Producer Sound City Movie)

Since Their Debut Album Spell Eater In 2012, its been quite a journey for the four piece metalers Huntress hailing from Los Angeles Usa. Although it was the release of their sophomore release Starbound Beast in 2013 that really catapulted them on their journey, with a track written by lemmy (yes the man himself) entitled I Wanna F**k You To Death which became a huge success and rapidly became a radio hit. This In Turn Led To Support Roles Of Bands Such As: Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Testament, Danzig, Arch Enemy, Kreator, Amon Amarth, Dragonforce, 3 Inches of Blood and have played a whole host festivals worldwide including Download Festival, The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Metal Fest Open Airs, and Tidal Wave (Which They Were Headlining Act). This Autumn Huntress joins the Mötorhead Mötorboat cruise featuring Mötorhead, Slayer, Anthrax and more, September 28-October 2

Static Huntress’s 3rd and much anticipated release is packed full of hardcore deep riffs, thundering drums and catchy choruses Jill Janus has such a wide spectrum of vocals being professionally trained in Opera and has a vocal range of four octaves (all of which are showcased on Static)with a hint of occult as you would expect from Huntress this album leaves you breathless from the first thundering beats of the opening track Sorrow, through to the relatively slower paced yet powerful Mania with lyrics like (If you ever spent a night in my head By the morning you’d be dead) right through to the final track Fire In My Heart, Huntress have certainly developed a monster piece with Static. The standout track for me is Flesh with it’s infectiously catchy chorus and monster beats. The album on a whole is very well put together mixed and mastered to near perfection this one is highly recommended, grab some crinkly stuff and go out and buy it you will not be disappointed.

Tour Dates:-
None as of yet as vocalist Jill Janus recovers from recent cancer surgery (although now cancer free) Jill has been ordered to rest by doctors, although she still hopes to make the Motorhead Motorboat cruise at the end of Sep. May I Take This Opportunity To Wish Jill A Very Speedy And Full Recovery. See You On The Road Soon.
