BLOODBOUND

“ONE NIGHT OF BLOOD” + UK TOUR WITH SABATON

RELEASE DATE; February 15th 2016

Format; Double CD / DVD     www.bloodbound.se

How time flies… Swedish power metal band Bloodbound were founded by Fredrik Bergh (Keyboards) and Tomas Olsson (Guitars) in 2004 and after quickly securing a record deal, the group went on to unleash debut “Nosferatu” in 2005, followed by “Book Of The Dead” (2007), “Tabula Rasa” (2009), “Unholy Cross” (2011), 2012’s “In The Name Of Metal” and last album “Stormborn” (2014), which was a masterpiece.

Now we are here to celebrate the first decade of Bloodbound recordings and touring, with “One Night Of Blood”, a Live CD/DVD package which includes the band’s 2015 appearance at Czech festival Masters Of Rock.

“The Masters Of Rock festival has always been great for Bloodbound. We’ve played there several times and it always felt like coming home”, says Bergh of the chance to do this and have it released just prior to the band’s forthcoming UK tour with friends Sabaton (details underneath).

“That’s why recording a live DVD there was an obvious choice for us. Another reason for releasing a product like this is the fact that this band really expresses itself more and more as a touring band, and on the forthcoming European trip supporting Sabaton you’ll see the real Bloodbound.”

Besides the entire Masters Of Rock concert, “One Night Of Blood”’s DVD includes a documentary, the video clips for “Stormborn”, “In The Name Of Metal” and the previously unreleased “In The Name Of Metal” (performance version), plus additional live clips; “Moria” Live @ Masters Of Rock 2012, “Stormborm” Live @ Out & Loud Festival 2015, and “In The Name Of Metal” Live in Oberhausen 2015).

Says great friend Joakim Broden of Sabaton…. “It is party music; it makes me happy & wanna drink a beer!”

All we can add to that is that the Bloodbound of today is definitely a better and sleeker live beast. Numerous festival appearances (including one here at the famous Bloodstock event) as well as heavy bouts of touring, which included a date here with Majesty in 2015, have ensured that this band is now at the peak of its live powers, so see you all down the front early.
