News broke this week that core members of Rage Against the Machine, minus vocalist Zach de la Rocha we’re involved in a new political super-group called Prophets of Rage. A special ticker had been counting down on the RATM site for a while, now we have seen it’s revelation. Tom Morello reached out to a few friends as well, bringing into the group Public Enemy watch dog Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s own B Real, and they have new songs fueled by the current political campaign and state of the USA.
To no one’s surprise the new groups uniting political stance brings shades of Rage in it’s early years and it welcomes back it’s core potent sound that made them a live concert staple. Having tackled their debut gig at The Whisky A Go Go, the guys spoke before the gig with Bloomberg Politics about Donald Trump, the two-party system, and why it’s time to #MakeAmericaRageAgain
