When baroque music meets heavy metal and the match is perfect. The Vivaldi Metal Project has done a real epic album, a brilliant idea of a remake of Antonio Vivaldi’s masterwork The Four Seasons, one of the most famous works of the Venetian master in music history.

On July 22nd, this masterpiece will be released, an ambitious taste of symphonic metal, more than 130 artists from around the world took part in the record: between them a string quartet, a full orchestra and three choirs. The album will contain 14 tracks, all original work movements.

The international musical project was launched in late 2013,  a music creation born from an idea conceived and developed by Italian keyboard player, composer and producer Giuseppe Iampieri aka Mistheria (solo artist, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Rock, Roy Z, Artlantica) and Alberto Rigoni, Italian bassist and composer  (solo artist, TwinSpirits, Kim Bingham, The Italians, BADASS), who had already collaborated with Mistheria, learned about the project and contacted Mistheria offering his support to work on the project as co-producer.

An ambitious project which was signed by international stars such as Rolf Pilve of Stratovarius. The complete list of artist who participated to the album, visit the page http://www.vivaldimetalproject.com/the-project/

The project boasts two pillars of the Symphonic Arts, that consist of the Sinfonietta Consonus Orchestra  from Poland, founded by Michal Mierzejewski and conducted by Szymon Morus and Academic Choir Manolov from Bulgaria, conducted by Darena Popova.

To highlight some of the difficult task of these renditions could be The Illusion of Eternity, The sun of God,  Stige, Euphoria, which is where most of these adaptations of recognized classics, but you have to take the album as a whole and listen to all the arguments to see the concept and history.

Vivaldi, the ” Red Priest “, the Venetian master who created eternal melodies, inspired these greatest musicians. A inner strength of harmonies and melodies and sometimes passionate expression of a strong build make this album a real masterpiece. The original work is instrumental divided into four seasons, in fact, and each season consists of three movements (usually referred to as Allegro , Adagio , Allegro).

A very unusual project, where classical and metal music meets together, an experiment that will open the minds of listeners who can (re)discover the classic music in a different key. An album, for those gourmets and symphonic music although difficult with more listeners will draw more details and see the true work that Mistheria has been able to create. Would be great to bring Vivaldi Metal Project on stage, in a theater and have this event see the light of day, live in the flesh.
