Brothers excels when it’s played loud
Following the success of their debut EP last year, Irish alt rockers Mindriot are back with their debut album ‘Brothers’ available now. The twelve track album was recorded in their hometown of Midleton, Cork with accomplished producer Ciaran O’Shea (Cyclefly-Fame) and showcases Mindriot’s own special brew of ‘Alternative rock’.
Line-up – Tony Gorry (Vocals / lead guitar), Mike Hoye (Bass), Steven Bartak (Drums).
Here is a MindRiot Push-up:
Formed over two decades ago as childhood friends, the band openly admit that although there has been laughter, tears, hatred and love over the years, the members have drawn on those experiences and moulded their musical style to what it is now.
Mike Hoye comments “Each track has it’s own story to tell. And we are telling a story of the life we have had. Out of all the material we have written in the past, this year we feel like we’ve found our feet and produced the 12 tracks that we are the most proud of! ‘Brothers’ is our story and you’re listening to the first chapter.”
Alibi Video:
Mindriot’s biggest hit to date was with their track ‘Low’ with the video being seen in over 70 countries and the song was nominated for a Meteor Award in Ireland in 2015 and featured on Hot Press.
The album has already been featured as ‘Home grown heros’ on Irelands biggest station, TodayFM’s Dermot and Dave when they aired the lead track ‘Billy Ray’.
