Amon Amarth assumed control over the Paramount in Huntington with extraordinary support in Goatwhore.

Opening the show Goatwhore who has not been seen on Metal Blade’s 35th Anniversary Tour is currently back with full drive. Fans were cheerful that the sound was on point. More established and more youthful fans were in participation and praised the Goatwhore’s arrival with moshing and a great deal of head slamming. Tracks displayed during this set included”An End to Nothing”, “Icy Earth Consumed in Dying Flesh”, “Uncovering Teeth For Revolt” and finishing off their set with “Whole-world destroying Havoc”, which brought about the total commotion in the pit.

Next up Amon Amarth, hailing from Sweden. These Vikings began off with a blast. Fanatics of Amon Amarth were all prepared with Viking protective caps and war confront paint. Opening tune “The Pursuit of Vikings” which rapidly went into “As Loke Falls”, “First Kill” just to give some examples. The stage setup included a large portion of a Viking boat which the drummer Jocke Wallgren sat on and was joined by different individuals from the band.

There was a lot of head slamming activity from Johan Hegg, the groups lead vocalist as he was cooperating with the group and having the Viking fans serenade amid specific melodies.

The set preceded with “Destroyer of the Universe”, “Passing in Fire”, “Live for the Kill” and finishing off the show with “War of the Gods”. Amon Amarth has demonstrated in various circumstances that they have come to rule and that they don’t disappoint. All horns up and vikings hats on, these guys always deliver a highly action packed performance. Go Vikings!!!

After touring the world this past year in support of their new album, Jomsviking, Amon Amarth will head back out on the road this spring for a USA tour with Goatwhore! Starting April 30th, the trek also features select appearances by Amon Amarth at some of the nation’s premier music festivals: “Welcome to Rockville”, “Carolina Rebellion”, “Dark Lord Day”, “Northern Invasion”, and “Rock on the Range”.

Amon Amarth comments: “United States! We return to your lands this Spring and we will raid and plunder your little cities as we please. For the first time we will be sailing our longships towards the curious native celebrations called ‘The Loudest Month’ (Welcome To Rockville, Northern Invasion, Carolina Rebellion & Rock On The Range) where we will sack and burn them to the ground and feast on the spoils. Our good friends in the almighty Goatwhore will be joining us on this voyage on all headline shows. You have been warned.”

Goatwhore‘s Ben Falgoust (vocals) adds: “We are looking forward to hitting the road with Amon Amarthand playing some raw as fuck metal for you people. Show up with your anger and let’s make some chaos happen. I know you all need to vent some issues. Let’s do it together and crush the opposition. I also hope by the end of this tour I can try to be as cool as Joe Grindo from Theories.”
