Following on from the announcement of Marshall Records and Eleven Seven collaborating for a North American distribution deal, Marshall Records have just unveiled the news of a new signing to their growing roster of quality rock artists.

The new signing comes in the form of Therapy?, the Northern Irish rock trio who hit the stage in 1991 and have been an unstoppable force in alternative rock music ever since. The band will release their 15th full length opus of no nonsense alternative hard rock to the world in 2018 via Marshall Records. Melody, riffs, rhythm and intensity, the new works, inspired by what the band call a ‘new age of anxiety’, are guaranteed to propel the hard working trio back to the forefront of heavy music with the support of their new team. They join Press to Meco, King Creature, Rews and more as part of the Marshall roster.

Chris Sheldon, the man responsible for the production work on their successful Troublegum and Semi Detached albums had semi retired from recording to concentrate on mixing  until Therapy? came knocking on his door. Troublegum (1993) was the album that transformed the Northern Irish misfits into the nation’s most unlikely pop stars, spawning no fewer than five Top 40 singles (‘Screamager’, ‘Turn’, ‘Nowhere’, Die Laughing’ and ‘Trigger Inside’) and clocking up a cool million sales worldwide, scoring a Mercury Music Prize nomination in the process. Therapy? have released many albums since through various different labels, but believe their new music is a perfect representation of the ethos and message that the band want to send in 2018, and are pleased to collaborate with Marshall Records for the next stage in their exciting career.

Andy Cairns, frontman of Therapy? says this about the signing

“Therapy? are happy to announce that they’ve just signed a new record deal with the legendary Marshall Records. Having played their quality amps for years it made perfect sense to take the relationship even further and get involved with their record company. We feel that this will be a perfect home for our unique style of rock music and look forward to all the challenges and great music that lie ahead.”

The new album will be released later this year, with single details to be revealed soon.

Marshall Records say this about the signing

“Marshall Records are delighted to have Therapy? signed to our label. The band have been an

important figure in the alternative music scene since their inception and continue to please their

fans with their tireless work effort and stellar live performances.”

Having just come off a tour supporting The Stranglers earlier this year, Therapy? will go on to perform at the likes of Ramblin Man Fair, Amplified Festival and will announce more tour dates in light of their 15th full length in due course.

Stay tuned for more on Therapy?.
