Sunday night, Long Island got treated with an unbelievable show, As I Lay Dying came back! Alongside, Emmure and After The Burial, As I Lay Dying made their Long Island return after 6 whole years. The show was supposed to be at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh but ended up being moved to The Space At Westbury.
Emmure kicked things off with their song “You Asked For It” which is practically just a minute long breakdown to get the crowd moving. The audience was loving their set and were constantly moving throughout their set. Their set mainly consisted of songs off their newest album. But older fans got treated with “When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong”, “Sunday Bacon” and of course “Solar Flare Homicide”.
After The Burial was up next, their set was filled with strobe lights that were almost blinding. The music was the stronger part though. Their setlist was a good mix of old and new songs to keep all their fans happy. Opening up with “In Flux” then going into “Lost In The Static”, I was especially happy to hear “Berzerker”.
Last but not least, As I Lay Dying. Words can’t even describe how truly incredible their set was. I think I speak for everyone when I say, a few years ago I never would’ve expected to be seeing this band again and after seeing this set, I’m so glad I was able to. From the opening note to the last chord, they did not let up and their set was filled with bangers. Opening with “Blinded” they started on high energy and kept it there the whole night. Their set was also a great mix of old and new. The crowd was relentlessly energetic and the band was clearly feeding off of them especially for songs like “An Ocean Between Us”, “Gatekeeper”, “Nothing Left” and “94 Hours”. However, they had “Parallels” on their setlist and they didn’t end up playing it so that made me very upset but it’s just gonna make me keep going to see them every single time they come around (but I’m acting like I wasn’t gonna do that already).

If you have a chance to see this tour, don’t hesitate on it. This is a show not to be missed, every band is at the top of their game and showing no signs of slowing down.
