With new music approaching, the Nashville-based band Red opened the show with a packed house. Wooden pews in The Ryman Auditorium filled with fans of all ages cheered on the almost two-decade-old band. Playing songs from the 11 albums they’ve released since 2006. The mother church has become not only home to bluegrass and country but now rock and metal! With the natural reverb and a killer sound system, the room was filled with sweet riffs making the crowd want to stand to jam too.

LA-based band Mammoth WVH took the stage and shook the crowd! Fans cheered as Wolfgang led the crowd through his songs as if they were his choir singing back up. Although a newer band, each member is no rookie to the stage. Coming from multiple bands of their own, they formed Mammoth WVH in 2021 and have already put out their first album (Mammoth WVH) in November 2022. They played almost the full album on the historic Nashville stage.

Mammoth had the stage filled with EVH-branded gear giving new-age Eddie vibes. Wolfgang grew up in the music scene, it’s no wonder that his father (Eddie Van Halen) was so influential on him. Now on their way to fill stadiums, Mammoth led by Wolfgang Van Halen is full throttle and is producing hits that will last a lifetime.

Headliner Alter Bridge closed the show by playing all of their hits with one banger after another, some of the best cuts came via opener “Silver Tongue”, “Holiday”, “Broken Wings”, and AB classics the likes of “Blackbird”, a fan favorite and of course “Metalingus”. Formed in 2004 in Orlando, FL, the band has now released 10 albums along with EPs and singles along the way. Myles Kennedy (vocalist, and guitarist) joined the former Creed members to form what is now a name not many have not heard of. Playing many festivals in front of millions of fans, they have become a rock band loved by fans of all ages and the bands that have shared the stage with them. Kennedy stated he is a footwear enthusiast while rocking some black and bright yellow slip-ons claiming to be able to light up the Nashville sky after losing a bet. Closer to the end of the set stools were brought out for a few acoustic songs including “In Loving Memory”. The unmistakable vocals traveled through the over 130-year-old building as the lights flicked over stained glass windows revealing the beautiful architecture.

Fans from the floor to the balcony clapped after every song while anticipating the next. If you have not seen any one of these bands I highly recommend seeing them live, It was a stacked lineup! From Red’s first song to the last song from Alter Bridge, you could see smiles and rock horns in the air. They do not disappoint and neither does The Ryman Auditorium.
