Chemical Storm is an old-school thrash metal band from Kent. It has been six years since their last album, but they haven’t been idle; during this time, they’ve observed society’s increasing reliance and obsession with mobile and electronic devices, which inspired the themes of their new songs.

The EP kicks off with the monstrous chugfest of ‘God Forbid’, delivering a perfect slice of rabid 80s thrash, driven by Kev ‘Kevlar’ Hudson’s pounding drums. ‘Shallow Hole’ follows as a raw-boned beast, propelled by a rapid rhythm and savage riffery from guitarists Dave Austin and Joe Davis. ‘Blunt Force Drama’ starts with a tribal drum pattern, Tom ‘Pidge’ Lane’s growling bass setting up the heavy riff, complemented by fine leads from Austin and a confrontational vocal performance from singer Liam ‘Big Lez’ Underdown. Finally, the title track unleashes full-on metal madness, packed with relentless riffs.

This EP is fantastic—proper old-school thrash! It’s nasty, raw, and powerful. The production quality is incredible, with everything delivered right in your face. Based on this release, Chemical Storm shows they have what it takes to rise to the top. Grab this EP and thrash ’til death!!
