Timeless Fairytale presents their debut album, a harmonious fusion of neoclassical and power metal, symphonic metal, and classic rock. Founded by Danish vocalist Henrik Brockmann (formerly of Royal Hunt and Evil Masquerade) and Italian guitarist/songwriter Luca Sellitto (from Stamina), the band is complemented by a stellar rhythm section featuring Stamina’s bassist Carmine Vivo and Swedish drummer Viktor Enebjörn (from Forever Still and Darknd).

While this may be their debut release, the members bring a wealth of experience to the table. As a result, Timeless Fairytale’s album seamlessly blends genres, offering a captivating listening experience.

The music is both catchy and thoughtfully composed, avoiding excessive theatrics. The vocals are elegant, clear, and uplifting, with memorable melodies that resonate with listeners. For those seeking technical prowess, the instrumental parts are executed with exceptional skill, setting Timeless Fairytale apart from their contemporaries.

With most songs clocking in around four and a half minutes, the album maintains a focused and concise approach. However, the seven-minute title track stands out as a brilliantly crafted epic, showcasing the band’s ability to balance sonic and lyrical intensity. This song serves as a perfect midpoint on the album, providing a harmonious transition between the opening and closing tracks.

If you appreciate a harmonious fusion of Yngwie Malmsteen (albeit more restrained), classic Rhapsody, and the progressive elements of Royal Hunt, this album is sure to delight.

Score 8/10
