Given the sheer volume of music released today, it’s a testament to Veonity’s quality that I’ve only just discovered their five previous albums. Veonity’s latest album, The Final Element, delivers a raw, unadorned power metal experience, prioritizing guitar work, rhythm, and vocals over excessive synths and orchestral arrangements.

The album offers everything a power metal fan could want. From the blistering speed and intensity of the twin guitar dueling to the soaring melodies and powerful vocals, Veonity delivers a classic power metal sound. Even during the slower moments, like on “Riders of The Revolution,” Veonity maintains a strong melodic foundation and powerful guitar work. The multilayered vocals, with the band backing Isak on the choruses, add depth and richness to the song.

The album’s themes and narrative provide an escape from the realities of the world, chronicling the saga of a hero who must seal the veil between the Overworld and the Underworld to prevent darkness from gaining control. With the growing popularity of fantasy-driven media like Stranger Things and House of the Dragon, Veonity’s album arrives at just the right time.

Score 8/10
