Having produced one hell of a buzz over the last year as they’ve exploded onto the festival circuit, Wargasm, the British electro punk rock duo had Concorde 2 in Brighton at fever pitch before they’d even stepped foot onto the stage! The venue was about a thousand degrees as it was packed with hot excited bodies all beyond eager to see their rebel idols in this intimate venue, as part of The Club Shit tour!!

With support from one of punk’s rising stars, the Brazilian punk rocker Karen Dio who did an excellent job of firing up the crowd! Dio has recently been snapped up to support Limp Bizkit on tour next year and seeing this performance, it’s not hard to see why!!

Hot off the back of the release of their two latest singles ‘Circle Pit’ and ‘Bad Seed’ the atmosphere was beyond electric and anticipation of what was to come hung in the air! As bright white lights exploded from the stage and pulsating dance music blasted out, the crowd roared and the crowd surfing began as circle pits formed with an intensity that didn’t ease up until their anti-conformist maverick heroes left the stage! From the onset, they were on fire!!

As a band, who proclaim to make ‘angry songs for sad people’, there was no sadness here tonight!! Far from it, rather utter euphoria engulfed the gig goers as the rebel dream team tore through their first two tracks ‘Circle Pit’ and ‘Bad Seed’ and the crowd hit apocalyptic! The dynamic between Milkie Way and Sam Matlock had to be seen to be believed and the audience were captivated!!

One of the best tracks of this incredible show was ‘Bang Ya Head’ where Harpy joined the party! Harpy’s primal wail complimented Milkie’s vocals perfectly and the crowd went insane!!
Another highlight was when they blasted out the intro to the Iron Maiden classic, ‘The Trooper’ as they urged the crowd to “jump, jump, jump” and jump they did as they sang back the lyrics of D.R.I.L.D.O to the band at the top of their lungs!! And the volume got louder and louder as the rebellion went up to the next level and the tracks came fast and furiously with a relentless ferocity that had to be seen to be believed! Their setlist a fierce blend of their older material with plenty of their hot new tracks! Each and every one of them executed with the relentless ferocity that their loyal fans have come to expect!

Another banger, with its pounding beats and catchy guitars was ‘Spit’ where Milkie’s spitting anger and venom created a near riot as they leant out into the crowd. When they played their final track of the night, ‘Do It So Good’ Sam leapt into the crowd and surfed across the venue much to the appreciative roars of the ecstatic crowd!!

With a performance of this level, world domination seems only a breath away and I for one are ready for the revolution!!
