Dream Evil Unleashes “Thunder In The Night” Ep Featuring Guest Appearances From Metal Legends

The Book Of Heavy Metal Continues As Dream Evil Drops Surprise Ep...

Gothenburg’s legendary purveyors of classic heavy metal, DREAM EVIL, have delivered another blast of pure steel with their surprise digital EP “Thunder In The Night,” available worldwide starting today. Following the triumphant return of the band last year with their seventh studio album “Metal Gods” – their first release in seven long years – DREAM EVIL now completes the saga by unleashing four additional tracks from those same epic recording sessions.

The “Thunder In The Night” EP showcases the band’s unwavering dedication to keeping the flame of classic heavy metal burning bright, while also featuring stellar guest appearances from two guitar heroes: Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) lends his legendary fretwork to the title track, while Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall) shreds on “Fight For Glory” (previously available only as a Japanese bonus track).

TRACKLISTING:

Calm In The Storm (04:11)
Fight For Glory (03:32)

DREAM EVIL bass-player Peter Stålfors explains the origin of these tracks: “It’s so much fun recording a new album, but sometimes it can be a little bit too much fun… and you record too many songs to fit on one album! That was the case when we released ‘Metal Gods’ last summer. But now the time has come to finally release the remaining four songs from ‘Metal Gods’ sessions on this brand-new EP entitled ‘Thunder in the Night’. Watch out for the guest guitar soloists, Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) on the title-track ‘Thunder in the Night’ and Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall) on ‘Fight for Glory’. It’s not just Heavy Metal, it’s also ‘Thunder in the Night’!”

PRODUCTION DETAILS:

Once again, DREAM EVIL guitarist Fredrik Nordström handled recording and mixing duties at his legendary Studio Fredman (known for work with In Flames, At The Gates, HammerFall, Arch Enemy, Bring Me The Horizon, and more). The “Metal Gods” album and new “Thunder In The Night” EP feature striking cover artwork by Seth Siro Anton (Paradise Lost, Exodus, Rotting Christ).
