As you picture a little ‘crotch pot cooking’ we are reminded of what happened in Cambridge. It was a gig so hot that half of the band members and crew fell ill through dehydration and the following show, a second night at the Portland Arms had to be cancelled.
The first single I bought was Gillan’s “New Orleans” when I was 15 yrs old. It was therefore a huge honor for me to recently have the chance to interview Deep Purple vocalist and legend Ian Gillan. Deep Purple are always touring, and was no surprise to have to catch up with Ian via an international call to his hotel room in Belgium.
It’s a real credit to Mick Jones that Foreigner do have such a repertoire of super songs and it’s really not surprising that Mick was inducted into the ‘Songwriters Hall of Fame’ back in 2013.
