Clearly excited (cough) to be here tonight, Olli Herman is a ball of energy from the get go. As the band kick off the opening intro to ‘Night on Fire’, Olli bounds on with a smile as wide as the stage he will inhabit for the next 90 minutes.
The saga story was over, so Fabio was free to write. I really like his poetic style of writing. The most important thing is the fact that the lyrics sound good to the music.
Napalm Death are one of the most consistent and unrelenting bands to ever grace a stage or indeed spill from a set of speakers. Forming way back in the mists of time in 1985 and seeing through their ranks such illustrious characters as Justin Broadrick, Mick Harris, Bill Steer and Jesse Pintado. From their Anarcho punk beginnings, through bringing grind to the masses before cross pollinating it with Death Metal and taking on some modern industrial influences; before being accused of selling out. This was all before bringing it back full circle and taking smatterings of all these eras and mixing it all together to bring us to this point 30 years later.
