My immediate favorites were “A Beautiful Mistake” and “Embrace the Limitless”, the former featuring beautiful guest vocals from singer Zemyna Kuliukas, and the keys adding zest to the latter, without watering it down in the slightest. There is a distinct blend of darkness and light across all of the tracks
The best part of this album? The vocal work of Dan McCafferty, who at the ripe age of 65 still has one of the best pure whiskey-soaked hard rock voices in the game, and has stayed consistently good for all these years. Co-founder and partner in crime bassist Pete Agnew also provides something a little special here…
The influences in style range from Hendrix, Steve Miller, some Skynyrd of course and a little of Alice Cooper thrown in for good measure. With band members names like Big Dad Ritch and Crawfish (as southern as it gets)… I was hooked on their crunchy melodies with aggressive pure ripping southern metal scowls.
