I find some of the best bands in metal are those who are able to take strong influences from the genre staples, but instead of just imitating them straight up, they find ways to incorporate their own unique touches to help stand out from the pack, mixing together modern and classic elements to create something truly special
Their debut album “The First” was released in 1995 in Asia and Japan and in 1997 the band released their sophomore effort “Manchild” in Europe. Having high expectations for a third one, the band went took a risk and decided to invest a pricy record but problem was Japan was going through an economic downfall and nobody wanted to buy in on the license asking price.
Since their inception in 2002 BLINDSTONE have been holding up the flag for 70’s inspired blues-rock power trios everywhere. The band’s third full length release RISE ABOVE follows the trend set by the albums before it and supplies the listener with some of the finest groovy blues rock they are likely to hear anywhere.
