As much as the musicianship, I’m really impressed with the production work of Mike Varney. Virtually the house producer for Shrapnel Records in the late 80s/90s, his handiwork is all over favorites of mine from Tony MacAlpine, Marty Friedman and more. But many of these productions lacked a bottom end or were a bit harsh on the hi-end.
“Dance On Your Grave” is another prime cut, as the drums slash its way with power and precision, Bach still sounds very strong in the vocal department, another one of the rockers out there that does more then a decent job at taking care of it’s voice despite constant abuse of the 80’s.
In what will no doubt go down as one of the most momentous events in rock history, Mötley Crüe, kicked off their last ever European tour in Newcastle, UK on Monday November 2nd. The sold out gig treated fans to the kind of show only Mötley Crüe knows how to deliver.
