I am impressed by the mix of styles they employ to push their message and there are some absolutely banging moments which I know will set circle pits off with wanton abandon.
There is a beautiful light-hearted humour running throughout the album as can be seen from the videos they have thoughtfully created. The influences run clear through the album yet, it is hard to completely pigeonhole the band to a particular style, thus ‘stonerpunk’ was born.
As the classic Holy Water had finished ringing in our ears, the band played a couple more numbers including I Don’t Need Your Loving, and then Tim Prottey-Jones returned to the stage to help perform on Eye Of The Storm
Combining multiple genres without it sounding a mess and delivering a sound that in itself is unique is always going to be a challenge but, as our album review above has clearly demonstrated, Rich Ragany and The Digressions have managed it.
