On a foggy rainy night 2 days before Halloween, the atmosphere couldn’t have been any more perfect for the Alice Cooper Halloween show at Plymouth. Goulish apparitions started to appear of all age groups from little mini 10 year Alice’s to lifelong fans in their 70’s….and this is what makes an Alice Cooper spectacular so special.

Since the current album is their interpretation of Dante’s Inferno, there was darker lyrical content, and it was brought to life with his gesturing, not to mention the fact that Allen is one of the best singers in metal today
After recent visits from North-American thrash legends Annihilator and Nuclear Assault, it’s time for a trio of old-school British thrash bands to invade Dublin for a session of head-banging and boozing. The relatively recent resurgence of thrash has seen many defunct bands resurrect themselves after decades of dormancy, and Xentrix and Acid Reign are just two examples. Judging by the size of the crowd gathered in the Voodoo Lounge tonight, it seems that their return is a welcome one.

Annihilator may not be part of thrash metals “big four“, but when they’re delivering performances like this, and getting reactions like the one they received tonight, I doubt they give a rats ass.
