Display of Decay – Dust of Existence Review

As a Sirius/XM subscriber I get to listen to Ian Christie’s Bloody Roots show on Liquid Metal every other Sunday (sorry for a small unintended plug for that show, though it is worth checking out, and it is every Sunday, but I only work every other so that’s why I get to check it out that often) I got to hear his tribute to metal from Canada. It was specifically aimed at Quebec bands, but it still got me thinking that there have been so many great bands in the metal/hard rock genre from Canada, like Gorguts, Rush, Triumph, and Voivod just to name a few.

Dust Of Everday – Dust Of Everday

A case of seemingly loosing track of any unknown not mistaken identity. I don’t think the band wanted to sound like this, I mean their Gothic laden tunes are fine, but when they switch from a ballad, to a downer folky tune in “Queen of the Night” it tends to loose interest in the listening experience.
