Stylistically, not much has changed on this album, as the band still plays an aggressive, guitar-driven brand of power metal, with a ton of classical melodies thrown in…

Epic Symphonic/Power Metal band Ruins of Elysium releases the lyric video from the single “THE GREATEST JUBILEE”, which will be featured on the band’s upcoming work, DAPHNE.
As for Epic, it’s a great album, but again if you’re looking for something different from what he has done in the past, not going to find that here. Nothing wrong with that of course; when you have a sound as great as Overland there is no need to improve upon it.
Overall it’s a very very tight album. Excellent musicianship and the whilst the focus I am sure will be on Vinny Appice in the short term, the great lyrics from Capelli and Cosma’s voice really set this out from the crowd.
Musically however, this is strictly movie score sounding stuff with a very operatic edge. Overall the pieces of music are a little sparse and I couldn’t help but wish there was a few more epic sounding moments throughout the disc…
