The scene on this Tuesday night was ready for a masquerade party in Suffolk’s north shore. All the settings were there, and the people were showing up, some in costume, most not, but the audience was filling in around 5pm. This evening was to be filled with fun, dance, and music however we all know the adage pertaining to the best laid plans of mice and men.
Godsmack was a band I didn’t think would be big on spectacle. They have a good heavy swagger and a blue-collar sensibility, so I figured their performance would be high energy and fun, but most likely stripped down. Wow. Big ‘nope’ there.
no matter how many times you see them live, you will notice something different. They surpass their tunes live as they bring theater, film, horror, a fashion show and everything in between.
Quickly becoming one of the best festivals on the circuit in the states, this years Rock USA marks a line up headlined by Rockers Disturbed, Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch and grunge legends Alice in Chains.
The last concert of the band’s current European tour sees them bringing one of the most theatrical stage shows I think I’ve seen in a long time. Not wanting to be outdone, a large portion of the crowd have dressed up as well. There are spiders, tattoos, leather, boots with soles adding a good six inches to the wearers height and lastly to give the event a truly gothic feel, a guy dressed in a bright yellow banana suit.
Hellpop II tour continued the hardcore antics as they smashed The Paramount in NYC on January 19th with crushing display of aggression and live imagery. Headlined by In This Moment, and with support from shock rockers Butcher Babies, Hard Rockers Devour the Day and All Hail The Yeti. The madness, the insanity, the vibe, the crowd and everything you come to expect from this line up. Enjoy the killer photos below!!!
