Kostas’ style is a sort of hybrid of Power Metal and Traditional Metal with a strong emphasis on sweeping guitar solos and epic multi-layered vocal choruses. Kostas Greek accent also gives some of the slower patches a real Gothic Rock feel too which adds some mystery to the album. ..
SOUL RIVER DOGS display a more streamlined version of the typical Southern Rock formula by holding on to its influence throughout the disc, but never fully succumbing to it either.
overall these ten tunes stand up as being just as good as anything on the previous album, it’s just a matter of whether or not Miller fans will need twenty songs in this similar vibe…
It seems like a bulk of the new music here is more cerebral then on previous records, but they do it in a way without compromising their patented sound. A true return to form lobbying on the great traits that made the band break ground in the scene a few years ago.
