This is the best thrash album to come out in a very long time so take notes folks as Thrash is alive and well and coming to a concert hall near you very soon
Thank God for Prong.
These German Black/Thrash Metallers have come a long way since 2009’s Satan’s Boundaries Unchained.
I think after the original breakup when you hear The Gathering record you can really hear that this is where we shifted gears and really found something that was so total thrash
I’m not sure there is a more polarizing metal band around than Megadeth, and most of that polarization stems from main man Dave Mustaine.
Tonight’s bill proves, if nothing else, that Camden was made for live music. Three fantastic bands all finding a resurgence in their careers and clearly loving every sweat soaked metal minute of it.
The final of the Bloodstock Ireland Metal 2 The Masses competition was held in Fibber Magee’s in Dublin last month. The overall winners were Animator, a four-piece thrash band based in Wexford whose influences include bands like Annihilator, Testament and Pantera. They are vocalist James Doughty, guitarist Ryan Treanor, bassist Barry Ryan and drummer Darren Bradley. We caught up with them for a chat and some photos before they headlined the Dublin Thrash Fest in Fibber’s last Saturday…
The powerful, angry debut from London’s Stoneghost has received wide praise with good reason. With influences from classic hard rock, as well as some grove and thrash metal, this makes for a diverse, yet cohesive record. As a small factoid on this record, it almost was never made.
PANTERA, LAMB OF GOD and early MACHINE HEAD fans listen up!! The debut album from up and coming Aussie metallers DECIMATUS may well just be the best thing you hear this year. That may be a bold statement, but it is one I am more than willing to stand by.
