London anarchic four piece Waco release a new single from their forthcoming new studio album.

The track, By My Side, released on the 12thAugust 2019, features a video shot over a full day at Hammersmith & Fulham (London) Mencap. Vocalist Jak says “The video is a day in the life of Hammersmith & Fulham Mencap. HF Mencap is a UK charity for people with a learning disability, which supports families and carers too.

It’s a charity close to our hearts because not only has our Welshy worked with them for half a decade, but their ethos and approach is progressive and something we feel everybody can learn from.

By capturing a day in the life, we hope that the film helps to illustrate the reality of living with learning disabilities and the reality of support work.”

The video beautifully compliments the new single – a two minute thirty second slice of uplifting, feelgood summer song with an instantly memorable chorus. A happy antidote to these dark times where it’s so easy to forget positivity…

The single features guest vocals from Alexina.

WACO’s (pronounced as in Waco, Texas) version of rock ‘n roll is one laced with metaphysics, conspiracy theories and spirituality, which makes them oddballs in both the rock world and the punk scene.

But in that, WACO are a breath of fresh cosmic air – ambitious, creative and wonderfully weird friends. They’ve always done things in their own way – whether it’s preaching a warped gospel on the streets of central London or gallivanting around a desert dressed as cosmic nomads. With this in mind, it’s no wonder they collect heads and hearts wherever they go.

The band have already received support from the likes of Dan Carter on Radio 1 and Zane Lowe. They supported Juliette and the Licksacross Europe as well as supports with Slaves and Anti-Flagin the UK. They are also signed to USA label Standby Records.

The band are set to tour the UK at the end of 2019, with their old friend James Robinson joining them on bass following the tragic passing of original bassist Chris in late 2018.

The forthcoming debut album Human Magicis a magnificent collection of songs – set for release in late 2019.
