Standby to be obliterated by a wall of angry guitar-playing, synth-wielding Greek groove metallers. I reviewed the previous release from Full House Brew Crew, and I don’t remember it being as heavy as this.

The opener, ‘Fake,’ goes for the throat from the off. It’s modern, downtuned aggressive metal with synths adding color and flavor. Then ‘When Violence Meets The Art’ sets off at a blistering pace before it steps back and starts to crush over Vagelis Karzis’ ursine roar. ‘Flaws Of Guilt’ uses the synths to good effect as the riff grinds out and the rhythm section brings it large. This is huge, and just wait until Karzis brings his melodic clean voice – that was a surprise.

‘Bleed’ is another modern metal gem and perfect for radio play with its dark, melancholic groove that’s pretty catchy before the bouncy grind of ‘Voice Of Doubt’ gets you nodding and will no doubt get the fists pumping live. ‘Nightmare’ brings some industrial metal before the melodic metal of ‘Rise Of The Underdogs’ leads to the heavy groove of ‘Downfall,’ then final track ‘Leaving Home’ continues the groove metal with another fine melodic breakdown.

This is just as good as their previous effort, and they’ve added the synths to good effect. It’s still proper heavy, and at times, they’ve introduced some fine melodies to counteract the heft.
