Michael Sweet and George Lynch of Sweet Lynch will release their third album, Heart & Sacrifice, on May 19th via Frontier Music s.r.l.

Two of hard rock’s most notable figures have partnered up again to deliver an album with no filler and where every song is vibrant and melodic, with a crisp, classic rock edge. The combination of Michael’s powerful, high-octane vocals and George’s immediately recognizable guitar heroics prove unbeatable. Joining the duo is Jelly Cardarelli [Lalu] on drums and Alessandro Del Vecchio, who, in addition to bass duties, helped with production.

Building on the success of their previous releases, Only to Rise [2015] and Unified [2017] have the iconic musicians paving the way to create powerful hard rock with tremendous melody while delivering some sonically blazing guitar solos in the vein of “Mr. Scary.” There is an undeniable chemistry between Michael and George which is evident again on this release as these two veteran rockers are not taking their foot off the gas when delivering Heart & Sacrifice.

From the first riff of the album’s opener, “Heart & Sacrifice,” to the final sustained chord of the epic closer, “World Full of Lies,” it is apparent that Sweet Lynch are at a whole new level with their songwriting. Pre-Orders can be found here: https://orcd.co/sweetlynch3

I enjoyed speaking with guitar hero George Lynch about the new release and how he and Michael collaborate. He discusses how the label initially rejected half the album since it wasn’t melodic enough, but he soon realized the album is now better with the newer songs. He shares a Lynch Mob album that is almost completed and why we may never see a Sweet Lynch tour because of financial limitations and conflicting logistics with his established touring band Lynch Mob.
