Thirteen years after his acclaimed solo effort Lost In The New Real, the Ayreon mastermind returns with his most ambitious and emotionally charged work to date. True to Lucassen’s signature style, Songs No One Will Hear delivers an eclectic blend of tracks that seamlessly transition from powerful, epic compositions to lighter, more playful moments.
At its core, the album explores a profound concept: how would humanity react with only five months left to live due to an impending asteroid impact?
“Expect an emotional rollercoaster, delving into both the light and dark aspects of human nature,” Lucassen explains.
The album features narration from Mike Mills (Toehider) alongside an impressive roster of collaborators including Irene Jansen, Floor Jansen, Robert Soeterboek, Marcela Bovio, and Patty Gurdy, each adding unique depth to the album’s diverse sonic landscape.
EPIC 15-MINUTE MINI-MOVIE DEBUTS
To offer fans a first glimpse into this apocalyptic journey, Lucassen has unveiled “Our Final Song,” the album’s epic closing track. The song is accompanied by a stunning 15-minute mini-movie created by Lucassen himself alongside Elan Lopez, Dave Letelier, and Lori Linstruth.
