Sweden’s Viking metal legends AMON AMARTH have returned from the depths with their thunderous new single “We Rule The Waves” and its epic accompanying music video. Marking the band’s first new material in years, this latest offering delivers everything fans have come to expect from the Swedish quintet: galloping riffs, wave-splitting melodies, and unbridled Viking fury.

Produced by Grammy-nominated producer and mix engineer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Katatonia), “We Rule The Waves” stands as more than just a song—it’s a sonic raid that echoes across oceans with the power of modern metal at its most epic and essential.
The accompanying music video, shot in Riga, Latvia, continues the band’s successful collaboration with director Pavel Trebukhin of Tre Film, who previously helmed the visuals for “The Great Heathen Army,” “Heidrun,” and “Saxons & Vikings.”
“‘We Rule The Waves’ is our tribute to the spirit of freedom, brotherhood, and the will to conquer — not just lands, but your own limitations,” the band explains. “It’s about standing tall with your clan, facing the storm head-on, and carving your mark into the world like a Viking longship through blackened seas.”
