I know absolutely nothing about Revenant. I was just given a music download and nothing resembling a press release. I discovered they are from Basingstoke which is where my younger brother used to live. That’s it!

Opener ‘Lie You’re Living’ rocks like a bastard and is a perfect opener and they kinda remind me of The Dust Coda with their big riffs, melodic vocals and all-out attack. The title track offers up something different as it swerves towards southern rock. There’s no doubt that ‘I’ll Be There’ is southern and it also brings a dash of Doomsday Outlaw.  It’s big, warm, gritty and melodic. ‘Sex With No Substance’ – is a steady rocker that tells the tale of – ah you know what it’s about, we’ve all been there and had one-night stands.

Well hell yeah, southern rock from Basingstoke – who knew? Check these guys out because they’re gonna be huge. They’ve got it all – big riffs, catchy hooks and melodies that make great songs.
