Interview and Live Photos by Robert Cavuoto
Alter Bridge will release their seventh studio album, Pawns & Kings, worldwide on October 14th via Napalm Records.
The new album was created within a nine-month window and delivers ten of the band’s heaviest and densest songs to date. Their first single, “Silver Tongue,” quickly climbed Active Rock radio charts as expected, and its music video received a million plays in less than a month. Songs like “Dead Among The Living,” “Holiday,” and “Last Man Standing” showcase the signature songwriting the band is known for and several epic adventures, including the title track and “Fable Of The Silent Son.” Mark Tremonti even takes lead vocals on a super slick song titled “Stay.” Pawns & Kings is now available for pre-order in the following configurations here: https://lnk.to/PawnsAndKings
In 2023 Myles Kennedy [vocals/guitars,] Mark Tremonti [guitars/vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums] will embark on a 30-city tour of North America. It’s split into two legs, starting on January 25th in Tampa, FL, and ending on April 1st in Highland, CA. Tickets and VIP experiences can be found at: https://alterbridge.com/pages/tour.
It’s always a pleasure speaking with Mark Tremonti! In my interview, he discusses the creation of Pawns and Kings, if the band feels any pressure that their newest album has to be equally as good as what they previously released, the ties between the title track and the album artwork, the resilience and positive messages behind their lyrics, and his insights into the creation of “Stay.” Please follow My Global Mind on Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, and subscribe to their YouTube channel.
