Black Stone Cherry are set to release their eighth studio album, Screamin’ at The Sky on September 29 via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.

The Kentucky-bred hard rockers draw on their dynamic musical perspectives to deliver a hard-hitting hybrid of hard rock and southern rock. Black Stone Cherry, unites five diverse musicians whose inspirations span an expansive spectrum with Chris Robertson [vocals/guitar], Ben Wells [guitar], Steve Jewell [bass/backing vocals] and John Fred Young [drums].

Recorded at The Plaza Theater in Glasgow, Kentucky, a legendary 1020-seat venue built in 1934 boasts meticulous acoustics. It was dream for the band to record Screamin’ at The Sky there as a studio. The band delivers twelve powerful songs with thunderous, galloping riffs and aggressive vocals. The band never takes their foot off the gas in songs like “Out of Pocket,” the title track “Screamin’ at The Sky,” and “Nervous.” Screamin’ at The Sky can be ordered here: https://lnk.to/BSC-MLG

I had the pleasure of speaking with guitarist and vocalist Chris Robertson about the band’s dream to record an album at The Plaza Theater, if he would ever consider doing it again, how this is the band’s more aggressive and honest album, the positive energy captured on this album, and his state of mind was while tracking guitar and vocals to capture that vibe!
