Rock legends Alter Bridge are gearing up to dominate 2026 with the announcement of their highly anticipated eighth studio album, the self-titled “Alter Bridge,” set for release on January 9, 2026, through Napalm Records. After more than two decades of delivering crushing riffs and soaring melodies, the quartet shows no signs of slowing down as they prepare to unleash what may be their most definitive work to date.
The new 12-track opus showcases everything fans have come to expect from Alter Bridge – and more. Featuring the powerhouse lineup of Myles Kennedy (vocals/guitars), Mark Tremonti (guitars/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums), “Alter Bridge” promises to deliver some of the band’s most iconic moments on record.
Standout tracks include the crushing “Rue The Day,” the emotionally charged “Disregarded,” and the epic “Scales Are Falling,” all of which are destined to become classics alongside the band’s greatest hits. The album showcases the dynamic vocal interplay between Kennedy and Tremonti, with “Trust In Me” featuring Myles on verses and Mark taking the chorus, while “Tested And Able” flips the script behind one of the band’s heaviest intros to date.
The album’s crown jewel, “Slave To Master,” serves as an epic 9-minute closer – the longest song the quartet has ever recorded – cementing their reputation for crafting monumental rock anthems.
“Alter Bridge” was recorded over two months this spring in two legendary locations: the iconic 5150 studio in California and longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette’s recording studio in Florida. Baskette, who has been instrumental in shaping the band’s sound, returns as producer for this ambitious project.
The What Lies Within European Tour
To support the album release, Alter Bridge will embark on the massive 31-date “What Lies Within Tour” across Europe, kicking off January 15 in Hamburg, Germany, and concluding March 5 in Nottingham, UK. The tour features an impressive lineup with special guests Daughtry and Sevendust.
