Here we have a new sensational melodic hardrock/progmetal band from Shannon/Limerick, Ireland called XII DOORS. Their debut album is titled Into The Unknown and right from the first few seconds of album opener “Unleash The Beast,” it is clear that this might be one of the best new Irish bands of the past few years. The band consists of DJ O’Sullivan (vocals/guitars), Flash Murphy (guitars), Pat “Pablo” Byrne (bass) and Cian “Whoasley” O’Sullivan (drums), and their music is a mix of progressive metal riffs and melodic hard/heavy rock melodies, with superstrong lead and harmony vocals.

They can be compared to MAMMOTH WVH, DAUGHTRY, ALTER BRIDGE, THOSE DAMN CROWS and such modern hardrock/metal acts who combine big heavy modern distorted guitar riffs with catchy memorable melodic choruses. Especially the first two songs (“Unleash The Beast” and “Sorceress Of Lies”) are absolutely wonderful catchy tunes that bring up memories of the aforementioned bands. DJ’s lead vocals are exceptionally strong and give the music the boost needed to build up a name among the countless other bands around these days.

Other highlights on this excellent debut CD of XII DOORS are “Lead The Way,” the superb “Face The Truth,” and titletrack “Into The Unknown.” Do not miss this sensational new Irish band!
