Chapter 5: Famous last words

The metal commandos first ever 2010 live release from the German Power Metal band Primal Fear, recorded during their tour to support the album 16.6 (Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead). This tour unleashed the best Primal Fear performances since the band formed in 1998 – a constant great mix between power, ambition and enthusiasm plus, of course, the quality of expert musicianship is excellent with Mat Sinner leading the way with his pounding bass, and the guitar duo of Alex Beyrodt and Henny Wolter and of course the sledgehammering pipes of Ralf Scheepers!. This live album offers an incredible string of Metal anthems in their full glory!

You’ll be less confined to find another metal band carrying the metal torch as high as Primal Fear. The group has been been producing album after album and always delivering quality metal that the fans come to expect. if you are fan of the band you would definitely enjoy this CD/DVD package as it shows the band touring in spots all over the globe including their North American leg of the tour. Ralf Scheepers has always had a striking and shattering metal voice and in these live performances you realize what he adds to every song. A career retrospect compilation is what the tracklist reveals, as classics like “Nuclear Fire” and “Angel In Black” are performed loud and swiftly. For me one of the highlights is the duet with Pamela Moore on “Fighting The Darkness” part of the trilogy from New Religion. I would of probably have seen more stuff from Seven Seals album but as it turns out I’m sure there is more live stuff in the works for the band as busy as they have been touring on the road.

Overall is a pretty cool package a must for fans of the band. Chapter 2 shows videoclips for Killbound; Sign Of Fear; Fighting The Darkness; Six Times Dead (16.6); Metal Is Forever as well. the production is solid for a Frontiers release. Pretty cool to finally see some live material from the band after a long storied career already. The chain of metal anthems on here is enough for any heavy metal fan to take notice. Primal Fear fans prepare to report for duty once more. Long live Metal!!
