This past June 24th, the Conquerors of the World returned for their second coming to the Big Apple. This year’s bill featured the Greek warriors SepticFlesh, presenting their new material ¨Titan¨, the Italian extreme metallers in Fleshgod Apocalypse and the Canadian Necronomicon. With potent strike of blackned death metal, Necronomicon kicked off the crowd. Despite a short set they were able to pump up the fans for what was to come. Next up Fleshgod Apocalypse, with brutal drumming, strong opera singing , and intense guitar provided an incandescence and perfect amalgam of symphonic metal. Their fans certainly looked forward to seeing them since the last time they were here. Immense pits broke throughout their set, followed by avid crowdsurfers and singing everywhere. The best was saved for last however, up next came Septicflesh. The crowd lost it as they played some of their best material to date. They treated the fans to some of their newest material as well that had not been performed live until that moment. The almost hour long set decimated the NYC fans, which made for a triumphant return for Symphonic Death Metal Warriors.
