Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Brake Loose is a four-piece Hard Rock/Alternative Rock band with a penchant for including dark and provocative poetry between songs. Formed in 2019, they’ve gigged extensively throughout Dublin, establishing themselves as a notable force on the Irish Rock scene.
Known for their intense and captivating live shows, Brake Loose are led by reckless Venezuelan Frontman Alex Murillo, with his rough melodic tunes and theatrical vocal style. Like a true Frontman, he engages the audience from the lip of the stage with his energetic performance, armed with his tambourine and maracas. Accompanied by Rob Higgins on guitar, Eoin James Madden on bass, and Dan Crowe on drums, they lay down madness dripping with head-banging grooves, catchy riffs, and electrifying solos inspired by bands such as The Doors, Danzig and Guns N’Roses.

So far this year they’ve released a new single ‘Dublin Daze’, are currently crafting their biggest release yet, and are set to support L.A.Guns in 2021
The new video for ‘Dublin Daze’ stars Emma Barron as the “Dublin Babe” and was directed, shot and edited by Olga Kuzmenko of Record Replay Productions. The video was shot in and around the iconic sights of Ireland’s capital city.

Brake Loose
Dublin Daze is a song about the city of Dublin. A city full of beauty, people, and pubs that are bursting with life (before COVID). At the same time, it is a song about the mischievousness, mysteriousness, and darker sides of the city streets, where you could go mad if you don’t take care of yourself.
The song tells a story of a Dublin girl coming down from an acid trip that she had the night before at a Brake Loose gig. She is not very lucid nor is she certain of what is real. But she embraces the remains of her trip. And, as she walks home, she starts to hear the song (Dublin Daze) from afar: the dirty bass, the tribal drums, and the heavy guitars. As she moves through the streets, reciting the poetic lyrics, she encounters the band. Or, maybe it’s just her mind playing tricks on her. Who knows? When the song ends and her senses return, she continues her walk home with a smile.
